Double Edge
How do you reconcile the double edge sword situation that America often faces when dealing with world affairs?

You know the one where, if our county decides to intervene in another country's problems with the intention of helping the situation and f*ck up in the process we get scolded for screwing up. If we decided to stay out of other nations affairs and focus primarily on domestic problems(for there are a lot of them) the world views us as selfish, uncaring, ignorant, etc.

What are your opinions on this matter. I'm not thinking of any issues in particular it's just a general observation.

Thank You!

Our reconciliation is that we have the biggest, baddest and sharpest sword in the world. No matter what others think of us, our sword and our knowledge and skill in using it gives us an air of arrogance and steadfastness.

We intervene in other country's affairs not to further their agendas, but ours. If we f*ck up, its their loss, not ours. It's collateral damage, something we could care less about. It just costs us money and a few soldiers lives - a price that is more than acceptable to our rulers.

We take advantage of other nation's internal problems and further instigate more chaos until we control and influence the decision-makers. We truly are selfish, uncaring, etc. - but we pretend that we are helping the poor bastards out. Just look at all the soft revolutions we financed in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus areas. We infiltrate the local population, pay off informants and collaborators, recruit people who will help out with our cause - then unleash holy hell. The media helps us out, and are actually the most valuable collaborators in our endeavor of world domination. Without the media's brainwashing of the population and preaching our propaganda 24/7, the task would be much, much harder.

We will have complete hegemony one way or another - we will either achieve it with the sword or through subversion. When subversion fails, when economic sanctions fail, when all diplomatic means are exhausted - our sword never fails. And ultimately, those who resist, will be cut down one by one.

Hail hegemony.
